Dell_UMPC.jpg

Now that we know about Dell's forthcoming Inspiron tablet, rumors are flying that the discount king has another bun in the oven, in particular a UMPC. The details are still slim, but apparently the handheld will rely on a stylus in place of a built-in keyboard, which personally breaks the deal for me since I'm not too fond of pen computing. Either way, it'll be interesting to see how Dell's pride and joy stands up against some of the other UMPCs we've seen, both price-wise and feature-wise.

I certainly hope that they price it "aggressively"

If it will have bluetooth then you can easily get around the lack of a keyboard with a portable one like the Freedom Universal one. I use it on my PDA and its great . Compact, responsive and good battery life. The Key to the Dell success will be its price , the others haven't succeeded due to high price. Check out the Asus announced E Book at $200 believe it or not, if this one ever shows up it will knock the socks off all the rest!!!
