Those wireless iPod rumors are making their way through the intertubes again, but this time around they have some meat on their bones since Jobs and company have just filed a new patent that outlines the blueprints for a wireless iPod. Like Microsoft's Zune, which lets you beam music to neighboring Zunes, the new iPod will let you transfer or stream files to other iPods or media devices. The patent also talks of plans to enable wireless music purchases, so you'll be able to download songs straight to your player without having to use your computer as the middleman. No word on how soon these iPods will see the light of day, so you may want to wait before chucking that old 'Pod.
