USB DoorbellDoorbells can say a lot about a home. If it's a high-pitched, light and airy ding, that means you're entering a happy home. But if it's a low-pitched, dark-sounding ding, you better come back later. Most of the time, homeowners don't have control over their doorbells; that is, until now.

The USB Doorbell is completely customizable, meaning you can play your own sound effects, audio clips, movie quotes--whatever your doorbell desires are. How does it work? Well, connect it to your computer via USB, and upload any 30-sec WAV/MP3 file. Next, disconnect the unit, and attach it to your existing doorbell wiring.

There are 3 different volume settings, and the unit is powered by 3 AA batteries. The USB Doorbell is strictly for pre-wired, low voltage doorbell systems. Welcome your friends musically for $99.99 at ThinkGeek.com.

I so want to get one of these and record the sound of knocking on my own front door. Nothing like using technology to be digitally redundant. :)

Great idea! Or, an even cooler idea, is to have your doorbell sing, "Knock, Knock, Knocking on Heaven's Door..." Now that would be awesome!!!

I got a better one from kakadu-usa.com. Except for the USB port and MP3 support there are 50 amazing sounds. The quality is pretty good and dog barking, my favorite tone, sounds like a real dog!
