As someone whose primary means of transportation are my feet, bicycle, and public transportation, it behooves me to harp about the unfortunate consequences of combustion engine emissions. If I had the need for a car (and some cash to burn--figuratively speaking, of course), I'd almost certainly go in for a hybrid, like the increasingly popular Toyota Prius, and brag at every given opportunity about my 50 miles per gallon. When I got tired of that (and saved up a bit more cash), I would install some of Solar Electric Vehicles' solar panels on my roof and brag to fellow Prius owners about my 17% to 29% increased gas mileage. Maybe I'd give the vehicle the same paint job as the one in the picture, you know, just to really drive the point home to random bystanders. Oh yeah, saving the environment is cool, too.

My love for the Prius isn't just the environmental goodness (or supporting incrimental improvement towards more energy efficient vehicles, to be precise) but also that there are few other cars in that same price range that are quite so packed to the gills with tech! Bluetooth! GPS Navigation! Touch-screen controls! Feedback to the car's system health! Milage and trip information on the display! mp3 player connectivity and sound control on the display! climate control on the display! It's a geek's dream. ;)
