Hands%20On%20iPhone.jpg The iPhone madness has finally begun to peak: PC Magazine lead analysts Sascha Segan (cell phones) and Tim Gideon (audio) got their hands on one and have been testing for hours. Is it living up to the hype? A testing slideshow, along with their initial impressions of the device, just pubbed at PCMag.com. Take a look at the full story here: "Hands-on With the iPhone".

Tim & Sascha -- you guys rock! Yes, it's 1:25 in the morning and I couldn't go to sleep without checking out photos of the iPhone. (Wow, I can't believe I just said that.) The interface really does look awesome!!! Looking forward to the extensive review.

Hope you guys can manage to sneak in a few hours of sleep at least! And Sascha, I'm glad you made it out alive from the iPhone mayhem.

iPhone rocks, AT&T sucks.

Buying the iPhone was a delight. I walked into the 5th Ave NYC store (the "cube"), enjoyed the festive atmosphere, and bought an iPhone in minutes. Not because nobody was buying them, but because they had at least 20 registers ringing up iPhones continuously. The phone is beautiful.

Then when I got home I tried to activate it, and ran into trouble. I have a blackberry on a "business plan" (which is how they sell Blackberry data plans), and when I tried to activate the iPhone I ran into an absurd issue - AT&T won't activate an iPhone on a "business account". And the office that can potentially fix this problem by converting my account to a "personal account" is closed until Monday morning. So my iPhone is a beautiful, expensive paperweight until Monday morning, when they _might_ be able to take care of me.
