DreamateSome people will see this device and think it's a fantastic blend of technology and alternative medicine. Others will see it and be frightened by the fact that it's a wristband with tiny needles in it. The Dreamate Sleep Inducer is a wristband that promises to help insomniacs better control their sleep cycles. If you're having trouble sleeping or your sleep schedule is out of whack, strap the Dreamate onto your left wrist about a half-hour before bedtime. The designers claim that it uses acupuncture to massage the "sleeping golden triangle" set of pressure points on your left wrist to reset your biological clock, relax your body and mind, and help you get ready for bed.

The designers claim that the "sleeping golden triangle," when properly massaged, will lower your stress levels, relax your body, and help you get a longer, more satisfying night's sleep. I'm not sure how accurate that is or whether there are or will be any clinical trials involving the Dreamate, but for those of you who have had personal positive experiences with acupuncture or acupressure, this might be a compelling product for you. Personally, I think a cup of chamomile tea will suffice. The Dreamate is available for just under $80.

I thought maybe it was on the right so the model doesn't fall asleep while modeling the device! ;)

I know that wearing a clunky thing like that on my wrist would just keep me awake.

Aye, I say go for the tea. *nodnod*

...It's still kind of cool in concept, though.
