Chatroom addicts, listen up. Logitech's new webcams are packing a special trick up their sleeves. The new QuickCam Pro 9000 and QuickCam Pro for Notebooks are the first webcams to use Carl Zeiss lenses, offering better detail and clarity than your run-of-the-mill webcams.

We got a chance to check them out a few weeks ago, and the video quality is noticeably sharper. One of my favorite features, however, is the camera's ability to autofocus, so you can zoom in on something as small as a business card and still be able to read the text clearly on screen.

Both cams come with Logitech's Video Effects software, which lets you create avatars and add cartoon effects to your chats. They'll ship later this summer for $99 each.
