iriver is a music based business that is releasing new portable media devices. One of these releases is the 'clix' series. The latest in that series is the iriver clix gen2 (second generation). It is the most advanced and well performing device iriver has released. It is small and durable and runs smoothly. It is capable of storing music, videos, and pictures.
Specifics:
Storage:
The clix 2 has 4GB of storage, which is a little over 1000 songs. You can hold several hundred songs and still have room for the videos. The video space is good for two minute clips, not entire films. Pictures take up hardly any space, and you can set your own pictures as a background. The memory is in a built in hard drive, so you don't have to worry about losing memory cards.
Body:
The clix 2 is about 3 x 2 inches, with a bright, colorful screen. You navigate by buttons around the screen (not visible though, to help the sleek look). It is high quality and durable, and comes with a built in rechargeable battery.
Music:
The music formats read by the clix 2 are ogg and wma. Wma is common, but you can ignore all this if you get the new EMI deal or iTunes Plus deal; both are free of DRM restrictions. The ear buds that come with it are bad, but easy to replace. Up to 1000 songs can be held, and it offers high quality music, with music being its main feature.
Video:
It has a low FPS (frames per second) of only 15. The eye processes at 24 and normal video is 30. Even some advanced video games are 60. Apart from this, the video feature is good for clips like music videos. The screen size and FPS would make it somewhat of a pain to watch a full film, but it is possible. Overall, video is below average, but definitely good enough.
Pictures:
Pictures are stored easily and can be viewed at any time. You can even transport photos from your camera or computer to a friend's by bringing your clix 2. And of course, nobody would care about photos if you can't put your little puppy on your background, so you can. All pictures can be set as background, and the format is the most common and the standard; Jpeg.
Overlook:
Overall, the iriver clix 2 is a nice portable digital media device. This may sound like the iPod Video, but in truth, it's cheaper and not locked onto iTunes. As far as portable media devises, this is one of the best.

You ARE wrong about the fps, and this is just a poor review in general. You leave out MAJOR key factors (i.e. customizable flash UI, EQ's and SRS WOW, downloadable flash games [or you can create your own], MP3 compatibility along with audible format for audio books, etc.). Just a very poor review.
