Here's a great gift for any Linux geek: the Nokia 770 Internet tablet, only $129.99 today at woot.com. The 770 is an interesting gadget, a Linux-based, Wi-Fi-toting tablet that isn't a cell phone; rather, it's a Web browsing gizmo and general platform for interesting hackery. Yes, it could use a faster processor and more RAM, but any case, it's definitely worth $130. The version Woot is selling runs the 2006 OS release, which is more recent (i.e. less buggy) than the 2005 version we checked out. Wonder what will run on it? Check out the application catalog here.

I wish I had waited a littke bit I paid 20.00 more for my Nokia 770 but it's great I can now respond to email's anywhere there is a wifi connection as well as make Voip call thru gizmo or Gtalk this is on great device except on finding cheap memory expansion cards rs-mmc are hard to find
