I'm all about tech products that you can scrub and wash in the sink. Just thinking about my keyboard and mouse infested with germs and bacteria gives me a slight case of OCD. So when Belkin pinged me about its new Washable Mouse, it gave me a glitter of bacteria-free hope.Belkin's Washable Mouse is a water-resistant optical mouse that features a versatile scroll pad (that you can scroll both vertically and horizontally), 1200 dpi, and is said to work on many household surfaces, including upholstery and wood. Belkin isn't the only company who offers a washable mouse. Unotron has designed several washable optical mice. Unfortunately, you'll have to wait until late August to start washing Belkin's mouse. It will retail for $29.99.
In other news, Belkin released the Mouse Trap, a portable mousepad that you can zip up and take with you. It's soft, flexible, and hand-washable. Not only can you store your mouse in the Mouse Trap, but also other small items such as a USB flash key. Choose from chocolate/tourmaline, steel/burnt orange, dove/tarragon, or dove/peony. The Mouse Trap is available now for $12.99 each.
