In France today, Archos announced the four new portable media players that will make up the company's Generation 5 line: 105, 405, 605, and 705. The 105 is a sleek video and music player with nano-esque dimensions--basically as thin and just a bit wider. The 405 and 705, updates of the 404 and 704, will be hitting US Stores in September, while the 605, update of the 604, will be available (perhaps) as soon as late August.

PC Magazine had a one-on-one meeting with Archos reps yesterday in Manhattan and got the details on all of these players and some more extra cool devices on the way. Later this afternoon, the rest of the media will get a look at the new devices--check PCMag.com at 4:30 EST for the full scoop and photos of the new line.
