Remember the G'zOne? You know, the first waterproof cell phone that no one to this day can pronounce? (If you're itching to know, it's "Jeez-One".) Today, Casio is back with the newest G'zOne, the G'zOne Type-S. Our phone expert Sascha Segan reviewed the phone, and writes that this model still lets you take the phone underwater, but adds Bluetooth connectivity. It's also shock and dust resistant, and even freezeproof! (And yes, our phone analyst is freezing it in a block of ice right now.)
Over Memorial Day weekend, my boyfriend and I took the new G'zOne Type-S for a swim in our community pool. Mind you, the water was absolutely freezing, but it was all worth it in the name of underwater gadgets. I held the phone partially underwater and it was still able to make calls. However, when I completely dunked it, it didn't have any service. Not that you'd want to make a call underwater or anything. (But I did anyway, and left myself a voicemail saying, "Glub, glub, glub".)My boyfriend and I took photos of ourselves using the phone underwater, thanks to the Olympus Stylus 770SW digital camera, which is also waterproof down to 33 feet, shockproof, crushproof, and freezeproof down to 14 degrees F. Swim on over to the next page to see PG-rated pics!

I just bought a GZone Type-s, I have just two problems with it: 1.It is very difficult for me to see what is on the screen when out side, at a ball game and in the car. In doors I can read easy. If I could make the printing bigger I belive that would help. When I receive a call I cannot quickly see who is calling. I have been a verizon customer for over 20 years. The last phone I had was a motorola 815. The second (2) problem I have with the phone is the speaker phone is not loud enough even on high. I hope you can help me on this one.

Turn 18 again. Just kidding, I have the same problem... But for some reason it's with every phone!
