Apple better have that updated Mini ready to go this June because Stealth Computer Corp. just made the Cupertino company look even more behind the times with its new SFF mini PC equipped with Intel's Core 2 Duo processor. That's Core 2 Duo, Apple. Not embarrassed yet? Okay, the LPC-450 Little PC measures in at 5.7" (W) x 9.9" (D) x 1.65" (H), which is even more diminutive than your Mini (6.5" x 6.5" x 2")...not accounting for diameter, of course.

But wait, the spanking doesn't end there. This little guy also features a wide array of I/O connectivity, such as gigabit LAN, serial, 3 USB 2.0, FireWire, video, audio, and PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports. And with a 2.5-inch, 160-Gbyte hard drive (with the option to throw in another solid state or flash drive), a slim DVD/CD-RW optical drive (with an optional DVD burner), this thing truly puts the current Mini to shame.

Stealth says the LPC-450 is shipping now and that base systems will start at $1395.

It's definitely feature rich, and definitely puts a whooping on the Mac Mini when it comes to ports and power, but uh...a bomb? A spanking?

Not at $1395 it ain't! Not when the Mac Mini runs $599-$799 and costs half as much as the starter Stealth it ain't. ;) I'll make that trade though - at $1395, I'd rather build it myself. At 600 bucks? I'll look for a Mini!

Umm, how is it smaller than the mini? the only valid size comparison is volume, which puts this machine at about 10 cubic inches LARGER than the mini.

And it's twice as expensive.

The Mac Mini is far superior software wise and the overall finished product wise. It looks much more finished than the SFF Mini PC. And...
it runs Mac OS X, the most advanced operating system on the planet and the price is eons lower!

is this a joke. forget the price... forget the features...forget the apple vs PC crying.... Just look at the thing. Can you post a mac mini pic next to that thing? what would you rather have on your desk. The sleek mini.. or the PC that looks like it got pulled out of the original enterprise... ya know the captain kirk one.
