I can't claim that I've ever approached my kitchen tap and wanted a nice glass of fruit-flavored water. Regardless of me and my needs, Proctor and Gamble, the company behind Pur water filtration systems, is rolling out a new tap-mounted water filter and filter pitcher that will not only filter your water, but inject some fruity flavor into your glass as well.
The Pur Flavor Options tap-mounted filtration system will sit right on your tap like any other similar system, but cartridges of flavor mounted on the top of the device will inject your choice of strawberry, peach, or raspberry flavoring into your water when you pour. The filter pitchers will have an insert where the cartridges can be installed. The filtration system will still filter your water for cleanliness, and each flavor cartridge will give you about 75 glasses of flavored water before you have to change it. Additionally, Pur is claiming that the flavor cartridges will give your water a rich, fruity flavor without adding sugars, carbs, or fat. This brings up the question: What exactly is in the flavor cartridge?

sure it is an excellent idea
A kitchen faucet is not designed for the type of pressure this system will put on the faucet.
Changing that flavor cartridge to suit everyones taste and that pushing on the faucet.....
Oh boy I can see a major recall or class action suit once everyones faucet starts to leak and or pull out.
Go into your Kitchen and press lightly on your kitchen faucet and think to yourself how long will your kitchen faucet tolerate that kind of abuse.
Buy one if you want, but I shame proctor and gamble for a very bad design and I wonder how much testing they actually did, if any.

I am interested in trying Pur flavored water from my tap at home. Where can I purchase the filter? Thank you.

If you are uninterested in the sink attachment, there is a pitcher with the same option of flavored or non-flavored filtered H2O. Either way I think is a great, less expensive way to encourage more water and less soda for children and adults.

My family picked one up on a whim and the raspberry flavor is surprisingly tasty and Im not one for flavored water. It's a hit around here. Fred

How much testing have YOU done, Mr. Anderson? Or are you just looking at the picture and passing judgement?
I have the faucet-mount version...the "flavor" button is easy to press with a finger and doesn't require hardly any force. If a faucet doesn't hold up to this, then it was going to break anyhow :)
Nice product! Hope they come out with more flavors soon tho. Lemon/Lime for example?

I really want this! I have the regular PUR filtration system, and now I want the flavor one!!! I can't find it anywhere though. Where is a place to pick one up?

I am looking at gettng one--and was glad to hear the positive comments about the flavor!
Walmart.com has them. Amazon.com has them (I think free shipping too--this makes them the cheapest). They are also on eBay, but with shipping you will pay more than you do in the store. As for the flavor cartridges, I see that you can get those on eBay for cheaper than the store if you watch for the deals.
Thanks everyone for their comments.

I'm looking into getting this. My brother goes through a case of water every 3 days and that's pushing it. Besides I need to drink more and this would get me started as I do like the Dasani flavored waters.

The raspberry is delicious! However, since I am on a budget, I use the flavor cartridge with my Brita filtered water. I just punched a hole in it, so I could squeeze some into my glass. Try it, Tastes great!
