As a parent, do you sometimes wonder what your kids are eating at school? Sure you may pack them a hearty lunch, but that's not to say they're not sneaking a few coins into the vending machine for some candy and chips. Although this may be bad news for kids, parents will be happy to know that Horizon Software recently launched the first smart-enabled vending machine for schools. It allows parents to track online not only what their kids are spending on vending machine treats, but also what they're eating!

Kids will type on the PIN pad or use a prepaid card and anything they purchase is logged and tracked through www.mealpayplus.com. Even the nutritional value of each food item can be viewed! Talk to your child's principal if you feel the Horizon OneSource Healthy Vending should be integrated into your school.
