Certain things ought not be done alone. Tug of war comes to mind, as does drinking. Karaoke, it seems, is a close third. Honestly, if you can't make a fool of yourself in front of a large crowd of friends and family members, butchering golden classics from the best-forgotten phase of American popular culture that was hair metal, then what's the point?
Of course, as always, it's a different story in Japan, where walking the streets without some form of karaoke-related technology is an offense punishable by law, which, it seems, is where the CA-K7 comes in. Manufactured by the awesomely named Digital Cowboy, this DAP boasts 1GB of flash storage, an FM tuner, and MP3, WMA, and OGG support. Best of all, it displays lyrics, has an integrated mic (and a slot for hooking up an external one), and its own built in vocal modulation.
Oh yeah, and you can plug the sucker into your TV or home audio system, when you're sick of going solo. It mostly likely won't even be available outside of Japan, thank god.
