HP Pavilion HDX Apparently, HP believes in 20-inch monsters, too. Following the footsteps of the Dell XPS M2010 and the Acer Aspire 9805WKHi, HP launches its HDX9000 in Shanghai, today. News broke of this laptop on several blog sites, including Engadget and Gizmodo, but you can find the official review on PCMag's site.

I took some time to stretch, do some push ups, and even a little meditating before lifting this 15.4-pound bohemoth, and that's not counting the 3-pound AC brick. The HDX9000 is clearly a machine tailored to HD enthusiasts, judging from the WUXGA screen and HD DVD Rom options. It also has physical ports that'll support 8 audio channels, including a 7.1 surround setup, with subwoofer. The integrated HD Tuner will allow you to record off-the-air HD content using Windows Vista's Media Center Edition.

The HDX9000 is part of PCMag's Santa Rosa landing page, featuring the latest in Intel technology. You have the fastest Intel Core 2 Duo processor available(2.4Ghz), 3GBs of RAM, and ATI's latest Mobility Radeon X2600 XT. Aside from the chiropractic fees you'll wind up paying, the $4,000 to $4,500 price tag will put a lot of hurt in your wallet, as well.
