inMotion iMV712Altec Lansing announced today its latest iPod accessory: the inMotion iMV712. The iMV712 features an 8.5-inch high resolution widescreen LCD screen that lets you watch videos from your iPod in a "true cinematic video experience". Housed by a four-inch subwoofer and two three-inch Neodymium speakers, this video entertainment system uses Altec Lansing's SFX (Stereo Field Expander), which is supposed to boost the sound field.

The built-in universal dock plays and charges your iPod. It also comes with a wireless remote, giving you control over the speakers and iPod. If you're not an iPod user, there's also an Aux input jack to connect any other MP3 player. Even more, the RCA input lets you play video from a camcorder or VCR.

Look for the inMotion iMV712 this month for $349.95 (MSRP) in consumer electronic stores and at www.alteclansing.com.
