Nintendo just can't catch a break. Because even when it does catch a break... well, it manages to drop the ball. Nintendo has once again become its own worst enemy. Need proof? GameDaily is reporting that Wii sales actually dipped 22 percent in North America from February to March--and this is simply because Nintendo can't get enough systems to stores to meet the demand.

The article quotes IDC analyst Billy Pidgeon, who added that he doesn't see the supply and demand balancing out with the Wii until 2009! It almost makes you wonder whether Nintendo thought they were looking at a replay of the GameCube, and kept production down so as not to have boxes sitting on store shelves. By the time Wii systems show up en masse, there might finally be a PS3 game worth playing.

Ack! No wonder I STILL can't find one. :(

I guess it's eBay for me. With this news though, eBay prices are bound to go back up, too!

http://www.mystyleofelegance.com is having a sale on Wii systems right now - $185 + $75 processing fee. You won't find any better price. Wiis on eBay are going for no less than $300. I had been tracking many auctions for several weeks before I found MSOF.

This seems to be a problem only in America, because in Europe (at least in grmany and Austria).

See http://geizhals.at/eu/a154164.html

Green means in Stock, yellow in a few days and white means not available or longer wait time.
