The eagerly-anticipated, but ever-slipping Ugobe Pleo dinosaur robot made another surprise visit to the real world. This time with fellow robot enthusiast Robert Oschler. Oschler, who runs the comprehensive RobotsRule Web site fell head-over-heels for the animated, little creature.
In an article on his site, he offers a comprehensive account of his meeting with what he calls the "Ugobe Family" : Caleb Chung (Inventor and Cofounder of Ugobe), John Sosoka (Chief Technology Officer), Lisa Abbott (Director of Marketing), Julia Demaree (Office Manager for Ugobe's Eagle office) and André Zietsman (Producer). He even notes how he imagined over-powering the five of them to run off with Pleo.
He never did, but Oschler did manage to capture some decent video, which shows a still evolving Pleo. This one looks a bit different than the one of I met and filmed last January. Check out Robert's full story and video and be sure to check back in because this is only, apparently, part 1.
