Lately everyone is talking bigger and better when it comes to portable storage. From 2 Terabyte external hard drives to USB Wallet Drives everyone wants more storage in smaller packages. Well, Toshiba is planning on giving it to them. Their 16GB flash drive, unveiled at CeBIT last month, gives Toshiba an edge in the flash drive market.
The drive is about the size of a normal flash drive but packs a full 16GB of storage under the hood for all of your files, music, even movies and backups. Given all of the things you can do with a flash drive, from booting a machine and running all of your favorite apps all the way to Windows Vista's ReadyBoost feature (which uses a qualifying USB flash drive as RAM), having this much portable storage in your pocket could be very useful. No pricing information yet or when and where it'll be on the market since the product is so new, but rest assured it'll be expensive. [via UberGizmo]

Corsair have had 16 GB drives for quite some time. I've been using mine for nearly 2 months now, and I'm very satisfied. The prices are also not as high as one might think... :)

But that means that the data can only be accessed through the usb 2.0 interface. It's funny that seemed pretty fast two years ago, now its slow.

lol, is that 14gb solid or will it be a 10gb ripoff?

There is a 64gb usb that cost something like $5000 but isn't available on the market yet. And it is solid.

Has anyone determined if this is a good deal and what is the pricing on this flash drive?
