The FoodHub, developed by makers of fine, weird USB peripherals like the Omu-Cover sets a new record for strangely food-related USB devices. The hub itself looks like a mound of tomato rice sitting on the side of a plate, and USB drives that connect to it looks surprisingly tasty. There's one that's a caramel pudding that looks a lot like flan, a Salisbury steak covered in gravy, a tempura shrimp, and a fried crab claw, all of which have their own dedicated USB ports on the rice ball.
The Food Hub is USB 2.0 and each of the drives that plug into it are 1GB each and ReadyBoost compatible, so Windows Vista users can not only look like they're sitting down to dinner but also beef up their PC's power when they plug it all in. Each FoodHub is hand-made in Japan, so don't expect to get your hands on one anytime soon; not that you really wanted to. [via Akihabara News] Post by Alan Henry
