Solar-Bikini.jpg And you thought Sync went under...

But, unlike a dress made out of iPods, this super-shiny bikini is actually good for something: charging your portable electronics. This concept bathing suit (I think that's the first time I've labeled attire as a "concept") is outfitted with 1" x 4" solar strips, which provide 6.5 volts at 1.5 amps to charge anything with a USB connection.

It stands to reason that the more panels you attach, the more power you'll be able to generate. So why just a bikini? Why not a one-piece suit? A sarong? Even a hat or beach towel would make a lot of sense. I mean, we're not we're not aiming to make the cover of In Style, right?

yow. I imagine it won't be just iPods and Laptops all charged up if someone were lying on the beach in that thing. ;)

Still - you're absolutely right - it could be SO much more effective if it were a one piece, wouldn't it?
