My Nintendo DS was created to serve one purpose and only one purpose; to entertain my socks off and do it for hours on end. Sure, using pictochat to make funny pictures and message friends is funny for a while but we all know the phallic symbol drawing fest that becomes. So when the prospect of turning it into an FM radio is brought up, I can only muster an unimpressive "meh".

At only $14, the FM radio adapter for the DS isn't a huge investment but the prospect of converting your DS into a glorified battery isn't all that appealing. I say that because the device itself is completely self-contained and control is handled through its built-in screen and buttons. Were it to utilize the touch screen or maybe do something else than let me listen to FM of all things it'd be a more viable - albeit expensive - purchase. [via Gizmodo]
