High-Tech Toilets Catch Fire in Japan

Toto ToiletIf you live in Japan, your toilet could explode. BBC News reports that Toto--manufacturer of high-tech toilets with electric bidets--will be offering free repairs to 180,000 of its Z series electric bidets after discovering they've been catching on fire.

One company spokesman said it best: "The fire would have been just under your buttocks." Fortunately, there were no toilet injuries. The flammable toilets were manufactured between May 1996 and December 2001. Hhhmmm, maybe that's why high-tech toilets haven't been so popular here in the US?
