Hi HP. Why the long face? You're saying I forgot something important? Darn! I knew I forgot your anniversary again. 35 years is a long time. It feels like it was only yesterday when people were using slide rules instead of pocket calculators. 35 years since school children discovered the joys of easy math, and professionals would have the advantage of portable computing power in their endeavors. The HP-35 was a 9oz wonder that could perform trigonometric, logarithmic, and exponential functions. Do I get you copper, maybe a diamond? I'd offer to take you out to dinner but it looks like you've already got celebration plans of your own.
Calculators have touched a lot of lives and the "HP Calculator Casting Call Contest" invites all those to share their experiences with HP by either putting together a commercial, documentary or any sort of creative 3-minute video. Winners can attend the HP golden calculator awards and the winners' videos will be posted on hp.com.
Don't worry, I promise to remember your anniversary next year!

Hmm...an HP Golden Calculator Award. That'll look nice on someone's resume, alongside the semtence "I didn't make it up, honest!"
I was always more of a Casio calculator man, myself. Too bad my Exilim can't do math. But it does double as a nice voice recorder in a pinch...
