This week on Gearlog Radio, we talk about the Wi-Fi-enabled portable media player, the Sansa Connect. Sure, you can wirelessly download content onto the player and even access your Flickr account, but who wants to pay $12 a month for the music service? Then there's political video ads. You've probably seen the 1984 Apple-like Obama ad that attacks Hillary. The person who created the video did step forward, but should these video ads remain anonymous?
Do you have an SSD? No, it's not a disease; they're solid state drives that are flash-based, not hard drive-based. We bring on Cisco Cheng to tell us about the latest laptop with SSD, although he's not too happy about the price. It'll probably take years before computer users decide to upgrade to Vista, but at least there's one reason to upgrade now. Brian Heater comes on to tell us about DeskScape, and why it looks so gosh darn pretty on a computer screen. But that's not all--stay tuned for this week's weird gear because it's the biggest iPod dock we've ever seen!
