If you loved Spider-Man 1 and 2, you'll love "Robosapien: The Movie". At least that's the hope of Spider-Man producer Avi Arad and Wowwee Robotics. The two are joining forces to produce a Robosapien film slated to arrive in theaters in 2009.
Arad, a former Marvel Comic chairman and current Arad Production head is a comic book- and toy fanatic and apparently believes in humanoids' acting chops, too, "[Robosapien] has all the right elements to make a family feature film with the ability to touch people on an emotional level," said Arad. No word on whether the film will star the original Robosapien or the much larger, more advanced V2.
WowWee has sold millions of Robosapiens since its introduction three years ago, making it one of the most successful consumer robots ever. Now the somewhat ill-mannered bot is poised to conquer the silver screen. I'm putting my money on Robosapien for Best Actor at the 2010 Academy Awards, that or the 2010 Razzies.

As if we haven't seen enough of this dancing robot. I smell a flop.
