While we anxiously await Michael Bay's upcoming Transformer movie, Autobot fans everywhere (including one very excited Gearlog blogger) can now salivate at the thought of donning the Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet. Now you too can sound like the fearless Autobot leader from Cybertron and spout out inspiring phrases like, "Autobots...roll out!" or "What memo?" Toy maker Hasbro is also including two other modes that include battle phrases or conversion sounds. There's no word yet on pricing or availability.
From the looks of the helmet, it appears that Hasbro based the design from the upcoming movie version of Optimus Prime. However, if this one makes a strong showing maybe a Transformers Generation One version could make an appearance? [via Ubergizmo]

Considering that Peter Cullen is the voice of Optimus in this movie as well, hopefully he won't have to record too much more. ;)
Okay, I just outed myself as a total dork. :D

Don't ask, don't tell doesn't apply here! I actually have the "conversion" sound down pat in a Michael Winslow from Police Academy way.
