Because belligerent patrons really needed another excuse to keep chugging, the students from the University of Munich have developed an intelligent beer coaster that measures the weight of the glass as the well as the drink that's inside. When your mug becomes empty, the weighted smart coaster alerts the bartender to get started on that second to sixth drink. Apparently, being too drunk to form a coherent sentence and requiring mechanical assistance is a good sign that more beverages are needed. [via Ubergizmo]
