Mountable in a standard PCI card slot, the PCI Cooling Booster apparently does what it's advertised to do: cool PCI cards. We can't say much more than that, unfortunately, because there aren't too many more details: such as the speed of the fan, the bearings on it, et cetera. We do have a price, however: $24.99.
The thing that makes this intriguing, however, is that CPU fans are standard; ditto for GPU fans. Hard-drive coolers are somewhat more esoteric. For those of us with a custom or expensive case with several mounts, this might not be necessary. But this appears to add a bit f inexpensive cooling without the need to invest in a whole new case.
Somewhat more intriguing is the CoolIT SLI setup, which provides 50,000 of liquid cooling for the latest quad-SLI setups, save for the new Nvidia G80 cards. Sure, its $449, but what's a few extra clams for a quad-GPU system, which has probably already set you back another few grand?
More cooling solutions are nice, although these days cool 'n' quiet (no connection to AMD inferred) is what it's all about.
