The Electronic Entertainment Expo is now a scaled-back business-meeting summit--more important, it's invite only. And invites are more coveted than the golden tickets in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The void E3 left led to IDG World Expo's newest event: Entertainment for All (E for All) Expo, to be held October 18 to 21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Some of us were left wondering whether any major players (as in companies, not gamers) would attend this fanboy-friendly event (OK, now we're talking about gamers).

But fear not! Nintendo of America has stepped forward as an anchor exhibitor for the event. And why not? The company should still have its old E3 booth setup in storage. Besides, Nintendo is used to fanboys lining up for hours to witness the latest Mario, Link, and Zelda offerings. In fact, I'm begging, since the word is out that the gang from Nintendojo is probably already on line.
