You gotta give those geeks in Redmond credit. They've managed to roll out a new operating system, produce a successful video game system, and even launch a portable digital music player. And they still had time to create a few additional PC products, taking on the likes of Belkin and Logitech. The Microsoft Hardware Group just released two new packs to help streamline your digital world, including the Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Pack and the Microsoft Mobility Pack.
The first includes two LifeCam VX-3000 desktop webcams, letting you keep one and providing a second to give to a friend or family member. The Mobility Pack features a LifeCam NX-6000 notebook webcam and Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000. Each of these packs' cameras is optimized for use with Windows Live Messenger, while the VX-3000 features a built-in acoustic noise-canceling microphone. The LifeCam Pack will retail for $79.95, and the Mobility Pack will be $119.95, and you'll be able to buy both in April.

I'm so skeptical about this. I have to admit, I don't know too many people who would buy all of these devices together at the same time, unless they just happen to be buying a brand new laptop with none of these features, and at the same time, I keep getting flashbacks to when Microsoft decided to get into the Wireless market with a line of branded wifi cards, routers, and bridges. Yeah, that went down in flames.
I don't know, I don't see any additional value to Microsoft's offerings over the champions of the market now like Logitech, for example, and their price point isn't going to lure anyone either. Is the motto "I can't sell it, so bundle it and try to sell it together!" really going to work?
