Korean electronics company LG makes everything from televisions to cell phones to refrigerators, and now they're moving into the European market with a line of air conditioners. The ArtCool Air Conditioners are flat and made to be mounted on the wall, with a protective cover that you can lift to mount your favorite work of art inside. Put your favorite print or piece inside the air conditioner, close the front, and even while the air conditioner is running, the art displays through the glass "frame". There are even multiple models and designs to suit your taste in decor.
There's no word on whether or not the ArtCool Air Conditioners will ever make it to the United States or Canada or how much it'll cost. It's clear that LG is targeting Europeans with this product; I don't know if it's small apartments, a lack of widespread air conditioning, a love for art, or a hatred for unsightly appliances (or all of the above) that LG believes will make this sell in Europe, but it's clear that they have a designer gadget on their hands. The real question though: how loud is it?
