Ever since the compact disc arrived, audiophiles have complained that vinyl records sounded better. And for the last 25+ years they've held out for the elusive Laser Turntable to arrive, saving their precious LPs, EPs, 45's and 12-inch singles. Last year, ELP Corporation finally introduced the product to American audiences. That was the good news; the bad news was that it was $15,000. Hardly worth it if all you want to play is Shawn Cassidy records. Today, the company issued a press release proclaiming that the Laser Turntable has fallen in price to just under $10,000. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer, but I'm not throwing away my old records just yet!
