Getting to those cookies in the cookie jar may be harder than ever if more kitchen cabinets start coming equipped with remote control locks. The English company, Smallbone of Devizes has developed a security system similar to that found in cars that uses hidden wireless receivers. Upon pressing the button, a steel prong is released and you can then access the many cans of Spam or whatever else was in there.
I'm not sure anyone wants to get to break into my cabinets and steal my stash of black beans, vienna sausages and spam but it would probably be effective at keeping those kids away from not-so-yummy cleaning detergents and other harmful items we keep in cabinets but they're only compatible with new Smallbone cabinets. Old Mother Hubbard may not have needed one of these for her cupboard and at $650; I doubt she'd be able to afford one anyway. [via The New York Times]

Yes, looks great, your thought about kids and detergents. Recently in France my country, a 6 years old child killed his 2 years old brother with a shotgun/rifle. The father just forget to close the cabinet (they were having a barbecue with neighbours outside).
A good old key is enough for cabinet, but what about educating parents on guns and washing powders.
Save the planet, save the people, save our mind.
Locking, could be the word of the millenium for describing our civilisation. Thank you.
