Touted as the world's smallest HDD-based music player, the Kenwood Mediakeg HD10GB7 holds up to 5,000 songs and weighs in at only 2.8 ounces. It may not make in the world of boxing but for an MP3 player that's music to my ears. The Mediakeg can also play MP3, WAV, WMA audio including those with Windows Media DRM10. One of my favorite specs though is the 20-24 hours of battery life. I might not be able to watch the latest episode of Lost on it, but at least I wouldn't have to worry about charging it ever night. The display itself is a 1.5 inch OLED and you can switch the interface between a variety of languages including English, Japanese and Spanish.
The last time I had an MP3 player that wasn't an iPod, I had to make due with the 128MB SD cards available at the time, but these days $399 seems a bit steep for only 10GB and limited features. However, being able to put a Media Keg in that seemingly useless small jean pocket may be priceless.
