There are two facts about guys. The first is that we absolutely love gadgets that do lots of things, and second we absolutely hate asking for directions. Harman Kardon now has a product to address both points with their Guide + Play GPS-500. Available now for $499.95, this GPS device features media functionality to keep passengers entertained during those long road trips.
The unit features a 4-inch widescreen touchscreen LCD display, five hours of battery life and it has support for MP3, MP4, WMA, ASF, WAV and OGG formats. There is even an FM transmitter should you want to listen to the radio out of the car as well. With full battery charge it will run for five hours, which should be just enough time to watch a movie, get some directions and listen to some tunes. It is said that getting there is half the fun, and with the GPS-500 the trip will be even more enjoyable.
