PC Magazine's Tim Gideon and Joel Santo Domingo get their hands on the Apple TV and give us a hands-on review. But for now, enjoy these haikus:

Over at Highbrid Nation we have been talking the Apple TV and how unimpressed we are with it. I just don't believe that most people will be able to get much out of it. Too many issues to deal with. I'll likely be a while before I make such an investment.

I don't think there are any issues with the AppleTV, I think it's on par or better than pretty much any other TV-media bridge device on the market, with a very lovely interface. It's got the functionality (missing a few things) of XBox Media Center, but it's easier to use and you can get content from your TV screen. I think that for the price it's pretty fully featured, and might convince someone like me who doesn't use iTunes for a whole lot to consider making it the focal point of my digital entertainment a bit more. I already use it primarily on my MBP, but on my PC it's just a tool for downloading a few podcasts and syncing my iPod. I could see myself downloading music and TV shows for playback on my TV with an AppleTV, all from the comfort of my couch.
