It's widely accepted that those earbuds that come with a new iPod or Zune are usable only until you can pick up a better pair of headphones. And anyway, would you really want to be seen in public with such low-rent accessories? Of course not, which is why V-MODA has unveiled two new colors of its popular VIBE noise-isolating modaphone headphones.

Available now in Red Roxx to match the iPod Nano RED Special Edition, and La Mocha to go with the Microsoft Zune, these modaphones have a suggested retail price of $101. This is in part a tribute to the landmark Highway 101 that runs past V-MODA's Hollywood Hills headquarters. (I guess we should thankful that they aren't off the 404, but it is a shame that they aren't near Highway 1.) The Red Roxx version is available exclusively at Apple.com and select Apple retail stores this month, but along with the La Mocha, you can pick it up everywhere else in March.
