Everyone knows that swimsuit modeling is a very serious sport (why else would Sports Illustrated devote an entire issue a year to it?). There are skimpy uniforms, stadiums that look remarkably like scenic beaches out of a Corona commercial and the competition for the person that gets the least amount of sand in their clothes must be fierce, but where is the motivating music? And just what does this have to do with technology?
Coinciding with the release of Sports Illustrated first-ever music-themed swimsuit issue, Membrain and Findayway World are releasing a pre-loaded portable digital music player called dop! (Which, I would imagine is pronounced like "dope" for all those cool kids out there), that features tracks from the music-themed Sports Illustrated Swimsuit TV special on TNT.

According to the press release, "The dop! players contain over two hours of music inspired by the issue's lush and sexy photo spreads." Both the "lush" music player and TNT special feature songs from Elvis, Fergie and a mash-up of music from the late James Brown and mash-up artist and DJ JUS KE.
While you do get 30 songs on each dop! player, I find it hard to justify paying 20 bucks for a static playlist that I can easily build on my existing music player. However, the price is in line with some compilation CD's that are often released so maybe it may be worth it for those who appreciate immediate gratification and would rather avoid the hassle of buying, transferring and organizing music on an MP3 player.
The dop! includes an AAA battery so you can relive the memories of the TNT swimsuit special anywhere you go and you can choose from the Miami, Memphis, or Brazil play lists at the SI website for $19.95.
