As the world becomes more and more stressful, it seems like we do too. Luckily for us, our friends at the Institute of HeartMath have come up with a way to relieve some of that daily stress.
The emWave Personal Stress Reliever, available for $199, works by analyzing your stress level. Let's say that your boss wants to you to finish 4 hours of work in 20 minutes, your wife just left you for your best friend, and your dog is officially on your wife's side. Instead of throttling a stress ball for the rest of the day, pick up the emWave and drop your thumb onto the red sensor. A traveling blue light to the left of the sensor will indicate your current stress level--higher is bad, lower is good. Now you can grab that ball and start squeezing. If your stress level starts to decrease, keep going, my friend--keep going. But if you see no change, try something else, and let the emWave continue analyzing your stress. The device promises to increase energy, enhance mental clarity, and, most importantly, help you find the best solution to make your day just a little bit better.

Do the writers of these articles get paid?
If so, they need to start working for their money.
If you can't find something worth writing about, then don't write about it.

For over 30 years I experienced several life threatening chronic illnesses. Through the Grace of God I was lead to several people and organizations that aided me in understanding, positively dealing with and transforming these illnesses. For the past few years I have devoted my life to sharing what I have learned with others. The two most impactful organizations I was lead to are The Institute of HeartMath (www.emotionalmastery.com) and Landmark Education (www.landmarkeducation.com).
The American Institute of Stress and The Centers for Disease Control have both reported that up to 90% of all illnesses are due to stress. I was lead to The Institute of HeartMath in 1997 and discovered that all of my illnesses were due to stress I had been experiencing in my life. Through learning and practicing HeartMath's tools and technologies, I am able to prevent, manage and reverse the effects of stress, in-the-moment, achieve better health, more energy, improved mental and emotional clarity, and improved performance and relationships. HeartMath's tools and technologies are scientifically substantiated; they literally saved my life.
Landmark Education provided me with the knowledge and tools to identify and put in my past, barriers that were stopping me from living a powerful life and a life I love. Through this Education, I have reached an unshakeable Faith.

Hmm. If you can't find a comment worth writing, don't write it? Move along, little troll. There's obviously nothing for you here. ;)
Personally, I thought this was pretty interesting, but then again I have an interest in biofeedback and such, and especially whether it's pseudoscience or not.
@Heart Man: I'd be interested in what you learned from Landmark Education. I have a scientific background and I'm interested in the kinds of stress management techniques that people are often taught to use to manage the stress in their daily lives, and how those techniques can work to help people be healthier. Personally, I'm curious if the emwave works well.

@Phoenix:
I am somewhat of a newbie at postings. I have heard that it is not wise to share one's email address in a post. If you go to www.emotionalmastery.com under Contact Information you will find an email address to contact me. I would love to share with you my experiences with Landmark Education, HeartMath and the emWave. There are a number of links to articles and TV clips on the emWave at this site under More About HeartMath.

Hey Phoenix --
Don didn't realize it before, but I actually reviewed the emWave last year. You can view my thoughts here: http://www.gearlog.com/2006/09/geek_your_cube_emwave_personal.php

Thanks for the link, Jen! Now that I see this, I remember it! I'm going to take another look. Looks like it was a little gimmicky, but you actually found it semi-useful? :D
