cartoon%20network%20display.jpgMore than 14 of these glowing devices (pictured here) were found all over the city of Boston, and many passerbys believed them to be bombs planted by terrorists. The city shut down bridges, railways, and even highways until more information regarding these devices were found. According to the Metro, "the suspicious devices were magnetic lights promoting the animated television series 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force' on the Cartoon Network."

If you look closely, the character is sticking up its middle finger. More devices were found in L.A., Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle, San Fran, Seattle, Portland, Austin, and Philly. Police are searching for the remaining locations of the devices and removing them promptly.

I saw this story on the news this morning. They were in NY too, but apparently, no one in New York even noticed them.

Not just New York, Carol - Apprently this was taking place in something like 12 other cities and they didn't care either. Makes Boston look pretty sad.

Perhaps if this country wasn't being fed a daily helping of fear and paranoia from the media and the Bush Administration this silly incident would have been just that, silly. Nobody got bent out of shape in the other cities. Now Boston want to jail these guys for years, fine them almost a million dollars to recoup their "costs" (Payroll for one day $1m???). Get a life Boston, give it a rest, get on with your lives. Everyone made a mistake, get over it.

By the way: To Jake

One of these signs is available on eBay right now, closing on Feb-04-07 at 16:13:00 PST.

Item number: 120082311118

It's at $787 at this point, it was found in Portland OR. If you want it that bad, here's your chance.
