Lazer Trip Wire

Unless you have a large mansion with expensive artwork, a sturdy door, some locks and possibly a security system will keep to your possessions safe. But if you want to go a little more high-tech... or at least make it look high tech, you can install the Lazer Trip Wire ($19.99). This package is actually sold as a toy, but for $20 what do you expect. It still works like the real deal, and if a laser beam is broken it will set off an alarm. OK, maybe it is better at keeping annoying siblings out of your room, or for protecting the last piece of pie. More importantly you can always use it to "recreate" those thrilling heist scenes from movies such as Entrapment or Ocean's 12.

That scene from Entrapment? Primo.

I think I saw this exact set of lasers tested on Mythbusters. ^^ They couldn't get past them!
