lenntek%20hookup.jpgI don't mean to be rude, but when will we ever get past useless iPod accessories? Sure, it's a great business to be in if you want to make money, but do we really need another derivative gadget to use for two days and chuck?

Just like its predecessors, the Hookup Lanyard promises to be the next best thing in the iPod accessory world. Created by the relatively unknown tech company, Lenntek, the Hookup Lanyard connects your iPod Nano and cell phone to one lanyard to make for easy toggling between Jimmy Buffett and Jimmy, your best friend from Middle School. The premise is quite simple: pair your Bluetooth-capable cell phone with the lanyard and clip your iPod Nano into the built-in transmitter on the lanyard. Press play and start enjoying some "Margaritaville". Once a call comes in, the lanyard automatically mutes the music and plays your ring tone. If you want to answer the phone, simply press a button on the lanyard and start chatting. If not, toggle back to your music and send the caller to your voicemail.

Unfortunately, it only works with the Nano, so if you own any other iPod iteration, you might as well read the next post. It sells for $129.99 from Amazon.com.
