UPDATE: The post has been edited to correct an erroneous statement; the Escape site isn't beating Dynamism on pricing and availability, since Dynamism is providing products and setting prices. Sorry, Dynamism!
Best Buy had hoped its Escape Boutique in Chicago would be a mecca for younger tech-lovers who wanted the best and brightest gadgets, and didn't mind paying a premium for products they couldn't find elsewhere. Unfortunately, it wasn't a huge hit and closed this past January.
Unwilling to let that dream slip away, Best Buy has announced the Escape store has a new home: on your computer. Surf over to the Escape Web site, and peruse the selection of gadgets. So far, Best Buy has only posted two categories ("Gadgets & Accessories" and "Mobile Computing"), but the company promises more on the way as it starts to round up more inventory.
Best Buy has partnered with Dynamism to provide Escape's products; they're almost exclusively available overseas, and you would be hard-pressed to find them anywhere else on the Internet for those kinds of prices.
