How much are 60 achievement points on the Xbox 360 worth? Apparently, enough for one gamer to build a custom "auto-play machine" to help him obtain the points he needed to complete all the achievements in Perfect Dark Zero.

Achievement points on the Xbox 360 offer a way for gamers to challenge themselves and garner points that are available to all gamers on Xbox Live. Some achievement challenges include defeating a certain number of enemies or beating a stage in a given amount of time. However, some games such as Perfect Dark Zero have achievements that can only be unlocked by playing 2,000 offline matches in the game. Davis Harr wanted those points, but calculated that it'd take him 40 hours of just pushing two buttons to start and re-start the game. With $60, 10 hours of work and a dream to find an easy way out, this dedicated gamer built the "xBot" to press the two buttons on the Xbox 360 controller to unlock the final achievement.

Some individuals discover penicillin and yet others develop stain-removing detergents that come with a cheese grater for the first 500 callers. History will judge where the xBot stands with the other greatest creations of all time. Meanwhile, I'll be busy beating my games the old fashion way: getting my siblings to do it for me.
