Maybe it's because I am a sucker for any and all food gizmos; or because I've been homebound a few days and have lost my perspective on product coolness; or simply because I love butter. Too much. But I am so intrigued by concept of the One Click Butter Cutter. It's simply an easy way to get a pat from your butter stick without messing about with it; then you store the butter right in the Butter Cutter.

I've requested one for hands-on testing. It seems a little pricy, at $19.95 per with a shipping charge of $5.95. But if the Butter Cutter's sturdy and effective, it'll be well worth the price for this butter lover.

UPDATE: Those nice Butter Cutter people sent me one to try. I took it home and loaded a full stick in, and commenced toast preparation. Happy to report it works as advertised; even when the butter was cold, I was easily able to squeeze out a pat. It feels sturdy, too, and is easy to clean. OK, this isn't going to change the world or even your life; but it's a nice convenience for butter fans.
