Feast your eyes on the first MediaFLO Mobile TV phone in the US. LG included three shots of their 9400 phone in their CD press kit this morning. It's widely expected to be formally announced this afternoon in a joint press conference with Verizon and Qualcomm, where we'll have much more information. That isn't official, of course, but the New York Times (among other media outlets) sort of let the cat out of the bag last week in a string of anonymous-sources reports.
MediaFLO uses a broadcast system for TV, unlike Verizon's existing V CAST, which uses the existing EVDO cellular network. The result is you get fewer channel choices, but much smoother, clearer video with faster loading times and much less annoying buffering. Verizon's system will go up against Modeo's competing DVB-H technology, which is pretty similar (think of them as CDMA vs. GSM) when both launch sometime later this year.

I so cant wait till this phone drops into my hands!! I am a phone tech for verizon and I have been reading about this phone for a while and I just got a short vid clip on how it flips open and man I want it. I just hope the vid feed will be good!!!

i think this phone is ugly. i was extreamly excited about it. but now that i see it i think it is discusting. i thought i was going to have a keyboard guess not.

I heard about this phone the other day and now after seeing it and reading all that it will be able to do (on another site) I CAN'T wait until Aug. when my new every 2 is available to get this phone!!! I am a little iffy on the style...but it sits straight up and down too so that works! How SWEET it will be to watch 24 on there when I'm out and about. Never again will I be missing a show!!! Sooooo cool. I'm sure it will be worth the cost to get the TV show. Thanks, Verizon! :) now bring it out soon!

I am disappointed this phone doesn't have a keyboard....why would I give up my LG with the keyboard? What is the hype about this phone?

I work for Verizon Wireless, i can gurantee you this phone is amazing, its is the coolest new thing to come out. This phone blows the Envy out of the water, i gurantee you. Cant wait to get it.

This phone is so sweet... but its pretty expensive to watch tv on it....also its annoying how it onlyopens sideways and not up.

I just got this phone a few weeks ago in NYC. The phone is beautiful and very affordable. $199 after a rebate. The TV looks very well depending on the reception. Sometimes its choppy. Everyone likes my phone but more importantly I absolutely LOVE this thing!!!! Go GET IT ASAP.

This phone is pretty cool but I am still debating on weather i should et it or not because of the fact that i love phones with key pads so yeah and i think that i am going to wait untill it gets out into stores so i can really see what its like.

this phone is hot but, it needs a texting keypad and i know u supposed to look at the people when they call by flipping it u can look at them and i know when they call you can put da phone to ur ear i seen this phone in a movie it looked hot on there but, on here it ain't so hot no dat!!!
