whitegoldandwhitetrim300WR.jpgThere are gold-plated cell phones, even phones with diamonds. Obviously aimed at the super-wealthy, these peripherals either make you green with envy or laugh at their silliness. This time though, the bling leaves the purse and comes to the desktop.

The World's Most Expensive Mouse (yes, that's the name of the product) is manufactured by a Swiss company that crafts each mouse to custom order. Each mouse is cast from 18 karat white, red, or yellow gold with your choice of trim. Embedded into the top of the mouse are 59 brilliant cut diamonds that you can have arranged in the shape of your initials, a flower, or just scattered across the top and embedded in the gold. Order now, and in about three weeks you'll have a custom-designed mouse, covered with gold and diamonds, delivered in a specially designed box or gift wrapped and sent directly to someone you love for a mere 12,400 pounds, or approximately $24,180 USD, from Fabstuff.net. More about the mouse after the jump.

The mouse itself isn't bad. It features an 800 dpi optical sensor and is a standard three button mouse with a tracking ball in the center that functions as a scroll wheel. The mouse connects to any computer via USB and comes with a PS/2 adapter and a three year warranty. The manufacturer is currently only selling The World's Most Expensive Mouse in the UK, but invites you to call or e-mail them directly to customize your order or to ship overseas.
